Welcome to my website

I became interested in electronics and radio as a young child.  I obtained my Amateur Radio License at the age of 15.  Today, I prefer to operate mostly CW (Morse Code) and I recently became interested in the challenge of QRP (low power) operation. My rigs include Yaesu FT-817, Kenwood TS-570 and FlexRadio 1K.  I enjoy experimenting with antennas.  As a software developer, I have written several programs for the ham radio hobby.  I am a member of the Lakehead Amateur Radio Club and the NWO Senior Radio Club. Early in 2015, I purchased and restored a beautiful antique radio -  the Hallicrafters model SX9. I am owner and operator of the ham radio service called CQ100. 73, Doug (AWS)
